How's everybody doing today? It is Thursday. I like to claim the date because the week goes fast, and sometimes I lose track. This is Billable-Hour Burnout. I'm excited to be here.

Today's topic is Wellbeing Week in Law. This week, the first full week of May, is dedicated to promoting wellbeing in the legal profession. You don't have to be a lawyer to benefit from this week; accountants, consultants, and financial service professionals can also benefit.

Welcome to Billable-Hour Burnout. If you're looking for practical advice to achieve your dream career without stress and overwhelm, you're in the right place. If you want a life you enjoy and have spent decades building, you're in the right place. If you're here today, it means you're looking for more work-life balance, ease, confidence, less stress, and better time management. You're ready to make it happen without quitting your job or burning down your life. My name is Lauren Baptiste, a former Big Four auditor turned life coach. You're listening to Billable Hour Burnout, our weekly series where I share the best tools, tactics, techniques, and strategies for modern attorneys, accountants, or consultants.

Let's dive into Wellbeing Week in Law. This week, now in its fourth or fifth year, is still young. I've been engaged with it for at least three years, using this moment to bring awareness to wellbeing. Wellbeing is often considered secondary to client-facing work, but it is crucial. Your health is your wealth. Feeling good enables you to serve clients, support your team, and achieve revenue goals. Without good health, your business will suffer. That's why I advocate strongly for Wellbeing Week in Law.

This week, tulips are in full bloom, and Cinco de Mayo just happened. It's been a busy week for me. I started two new clients yesterday and kicked off a three-month program at a law firm. We chose this week to start the program because it's Mental Health Awareness Month, and it's a good time to support attorneys during a potentially stressful period.

Some of you might feel less stressed because you're getting more vitamin D and spending time outside. However, stress levels can remain high due to summer logistics like vacation planning and workload management. I'll be here all year sharing these topics and concepts with you.

Let's discuss a client success story. Alex, a tax attorney, shared how setting boundaries helped her navigate the corporate environment and achieve work-life balance. She learned to be successful in her career while enjoying life. This testimonial highlights the importance of emotional, mental, and physical health, especially for women leaders who often push themselves for recognition and forget self-care.

Now, let's break down Wellbeing Week in Law. This week is about raising awareness and encouraging action and innovation in promoting wellbeing in the legal profession. Although this week is highlighted, we encourage wellbeing all year round.
